I've played Roblox for a very long time, but I never thought of coding my own game. I decided to start small and understand the fundamentals behind Roblox's game engine and Lua.
This was a fun introduction to creating games and I plan to make more.
I picked up the basics of game mechanics, learned how to script in Lua, and figured out how to make the gameplay fun and interactive for players. It was a fun way to improve my coding skills while also thinking about what makes a game enjoyable.
I love the way Roblox Studio and Lua look together. It was a little confusing to start but I'm starting to get the hang of it. The tables, which are really just arrays, were a little confusing for me to understand lol.
